How the Conversion Works

The conversion from kVA to horsepower takes into account three important factors:

• Power Factor (PF): Ratio of real power to apparent power
• Motor Efficiency: Percentage of input power converted to mechanical output
• Conversion Factor: 1 HP = 0.746 kW
