Understanding Time Conversion
What is a Millisecond?
A millisecond (ms) is 1/1000 of a second. It's commonly used in computing, scientific measurements, and timing high-speed events. For perspective, a blink of an eye takes about 100-400 milliseconds.
What is a Microsecond?
A microsecond (µs) is 1/1000 of a millisecond, or 1/1,000,000 of a second. This incredibly small unit of time is used in advanced computing, electronics, and scientific research.
Conversion Formula
To convert milliseconds to microseconds, multiply the number of milliseconds by 1,000:
Microseconds = Milliseconds × 1,000
