Understanding Voltage Conversion
Converting amperes to volts is fundamental in electrical calculations. There are two main methods:
Power Method (V = P/I)
When you know the power consumption:
- V (Volts) = P (Watts) ÷ I (Amps)
- Example: 100W ÷ 2A = 50V
Resistance Method (V = IR)
Using Ohm's Law:
- V (Volts) = I (Amps) × R (Ohms)
- Example: 2A × 25Ω = 50V
